POST-DIVORCE LITIGATION
Post-divorce litigation, also known as post-judgment divorce litigation, is a legal action or modification that happens after a divorce or judgment is finalized. It can address issues that arise after the divorce decree or judgment.
Common reasons for post-divorce proceedings include enforcement of court orders, modifications to spousal support or alimony due to a substantial change in the financial situation of either ex-spouse, one of the parent’s desire to relocate, disputes over property division, parental relocation, appeals of court decisions, implementation of Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs), issues related to health insurance coverage or remarriage, a change in your child’s educational or health care needs or changes in child custody, visitation, or support arrangements.
